Best Month For Minnesota Twins Since 2021
Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

The new standard-bearer in the American League Central is Rocco Baldelli’s Minnesota Twins. The team has won three division titles since Baldelli, the former MLB outfielder, took over for Paul Molitor in 2019, including last year’s 87-75 campaign.

The Twins have gone 238-248 (.490) since 2021, though things are looking up in the Twin Cities after last year, when Minnesota snapped the club’s 18-game losing streak in playoff games. That skid stretched back to 2004 but ended when the Twins bested the Toronto Blue Jays in a 2023 Wild Card series. There were no legal Minnesota sportsbooks to take action on that, but there is movement to try to change that.

Now, the Twins return to the diamond with +2500 World Series odds on ESPN BET, tied with the Chicago Cubs for No. 10 on the board as of Friday afternoon. Minnesota has -180 odds of making the postseason once again this fall, and +145 odds to miss out.

With the MLB season right around the corner, MinnesotaBets.com used Baseball-Reference.com data from the past three years to see which months were best and worst for the team. April (37-36 record, .507 winning percentage) was the only other calendar month where the Twins had a winning record over the past three seasons combined. They have gone exactly .500 in May (43-43) and September (41-41) in that span.

Minnesota’s worst months between 2021 and 2023 were July (34-39, .466) and June (36-44, .450), showcasing how hard it is to keep early season momentum alive during the grind of the summer for the team.
